سلام. پست اولم در انجمن هست و وظیفه می دونم تبریک بگم شروع چنین کار عظیمی رو به همه ی دوستان محترم. دو سه روز پیش بسته ی beryl رو برای اوبونتو دانلود کردم. در توضیحات فایل read me اینجوری نوشته بود:
1. `cd' to the directory containing the package's source code and type
`./configure' to configure the package for your system. If you're
using `csh' on an old version of System V, you might need to type
`sh ./configure' instead to prevent `csh' from trying to execute
`configure' itself.
Running `configure' takes awhile. While running, it prints some
messages telling which features it is checking for.
2. Type `make' to compile the package.
3. Optionally, type `make check' to run any self-tests that come with
the package.
4. Type `make install' to install the programs and any data files and
documentation.
5. You can remove the program binaries and object files from the
source code directory by typing `make clean'. To also remove the
files that `configure' created (so you can compile the package for
a different kind of computer), type `make distclean'. There is
also a `make maintainer-clean' target, but that is intended mainly
for the package's developers. If you use it, you may have to get
all sorts of other programs in order to regenerate files that came
with the distribution.
من دستور sh ./configure رو در ترمینال اجرا کردم و خروجی به صورت زیر بود:
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking for gawk... no
checking for mawk... mawk
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes
checking whether to enable maintainer-specific portions of Makefiles... no
checking for style of include used by make... GNU
checking for gcc... gcc
checking for C compiler default output file name...
configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
See `config.log' for more details.
سپس وقتی هر کدوم از دستورات make, make check, make install رو می زدم خروجی زیر رو به من نشون می داد:
knight@Knight:~/Desktop/beryl-core-0.2.1$ make
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.
knight@Knight:~/Desktop/beryl-core-0.2.1$ make check
make: *** No rule to make target `check'. Stop.
knight@Knight:~/Desktop/beryl-core-0.2.1$ make install
make: *** No rule to make target `install'. Stop.
اگر یکی از اساتید منو راهنمایی کنند ممنون می شم.

سلام،
توصیه می‌کنم Beryl نصب نکنید و در عوض Compiz-Fusion نصب کنید که حاصل ترکیب Compiz و Beryl هست.

اول از همه به اوبونتو خوش اومدی ):P
دوم اینکه دلیل خاصی داره که می خواهید حتماً beryl رو نصب کنید ؟ اگر فقط می خواهید که از جلوه های زیباتر میزکاری استفاده کنید، همونطور که استاد عزیزم عمو ابراهیم فرمودند برید سراغ compiz-fusion
پیشنهاد می کنم که اگه در لینوکس تازه کار هستید (مثل من) فعلاً سراغ نصب از روی سورس و کامپایل کردن نرید و از بسته های باینری (بسته های از پیش کامپایل شده) استفاده کنید. در مورد compiz-fusion می تونید به راهنمایی (http://forum.ubuntu.ir/index.php?topic=2581.0) که جناب لومیون بزرگ نوشتند مراجعه کنید.

سلام دوستان. بله صرفا برای زیبایی می خواستم. ممنون از راهنمایی و تبریکتون. با کمک ویکی تونستم نصب کنم compiz-fusion رو. ولی یه مشکل هست وقتی می خوام با دستور compiz --replace اجراش کنم یک لحظه همه ی پنجره ها ناپدید می شن و بعد دوباره ظاهر می شن و هیچ اتفاق دیگه ای نمی افته.

کارت گرافیکی رو نصب کردید؟

دستوراتی رو که در مقاله بود زدم و همه چیز درست بود.

دستور رو توی ترمینال اجرا کنید. و خروجی‌اش رو بذارید اینجا. من فکر می‌کنم که یه خطا داره می‌ده و Fallback می‌کنه به مدیر پنجره پیشفرض.
