تا اینجا همه چیز درست و من هم مشکلی نداشتم.
خوب وقتی درایور مربوطه رو گرفتم و داخلش شدم طبق README باید setup اونو اجرا کنم پس زدم setup/.

مشکلت اینه که نسخه ی gcc و کرنل gcc با هم هماهنگی ندارد.
فکر کنم اگه gcc و gcc-base را به روز کنی, مشکلت حل شه.
آخرین نسخه ی gcc و gcc kernel در حال حاضر۴.۳ می باشد.

من فایل gcc رو از همون مسیری که گفتید گرفتم .
حالا دستور install رو میزنم این ارور رو به من میده

اگه دقت کرده باشین در همون صفحه, اسم چندتا بسته نوشته شده که برای نصب لازمن(depends). اون بسته ها رو هم باید دانلود کنی. سیناپتیک خودش این کارها رو انجام می ده برای همین بهتره که با همون سیناپتیک کار کنی و اگه نشد بری سراغ این لینک. در صمن همین بسته هایی که باید نصب بشن ممکنه که دوباره خودشون به چیزهای دیگری نیاز داشته باشند و ... بنابراین همون سیناپتیک خیلی بهتره!

من برای نصب از apt-get استفاده می کنم
و این

رو چطور باید باهاش کار کنم.
کلا اگه منظور شما همون depends ها باشه که باید با همون apt هم نصب بشه.
من میزنم apt-get install gcc-4.3 هیچ بسته ای روپیدا نمی کنه برا نصب در حالی که مخازن من کاملا upodate است.

حالا ورژن زیاد مهم نیست. اصل کار اینه که gcc و کرنل gcc با هم همخوانی داشته باشن.
از سیناپتیک(System > Admiministration > Synaptic Package Manager) برو gcc را سرچ کن ببین آخرین نسخه ای که داری چیه و اون را انتخاب کن (Right click > Mark for installation) . پس از انتخاب, دو بسته ی دیگر([cpp-[version و gcc-[version]-base) نیز به طور خودکار توسط سیناپتیک انتخاب می شود.بعد از زدن دکمه ی Apply بسته ها نصب می شوند.

آقا اون مسیری رو که گفتید رفتم آخرین ورژن رو هم gcc4.3 زده در کادرش هم قرمزه (همونجا که تیک می خوره) که در جلویش زده ورژن gcc4.3.2 نصبه و من روش کلیلک می کنم

غیر فعاله و REMOVE اون فعاله
پس من از کجا اینو نصب کنم

به این خاطر در لیست هست چون اون را قبلا نصب کردی البته درست نصب نشده چون اگه درست نصب شده بود رنگش سبز می شد نه قرمز.
روی آن رایت کلیک بکن و گزینه ی Mark for Reinstallation را انتخاب کن و دکمه ی Apply را بزن.
اگه نشد تک تک اون بسته هایی را که گفته بود نداره نصب کن. اگه این کار از سیناپتیک نشد مجبوری دانلود کنی.

سلام دوست عزیز اگه ابونتو شما ورژن 8.10 باشه این درایور رو نمی تونین نصب کنین
من چند ماه پیش به کسی که این درایور رو می نویسه و برای کرنل های جدید بهینه میکنه ایمیل فرستادم و ایشون امروز جوابش رو داده ودرایور جدید رو منتشر کرده شما میتونین از این ادرس دانلود کنین :

نمی دونم همه چرا به هم وابسته اند.
اون بحث دور و تسلسل بود تو معارف دانشگاه که همه چیز وابسته همند و در واقع یه نوع تضاد است اینجا هم همون بلا سر من اومده

سلام بعضی از مودم های creative با این درایور نصب نمیشن شما بگرد ببین این درایور با مودمتون مشکلی نداره
من خودم creative دارم و قبلا تو 8.04 استفاده میکردم و الن هم تونستم تو 8.10 نصبش کنم
در ضمن یه نسخه جدیدتر داره این درایور که اسمش اینه ess_2.6-v0.4.tar.gz و فکر کنم برای 8.04 بهینه شده اول این درایور رو دانلود کن و بعد
این بسته رو نصب کن شاید بعدش کمپایل شد:
sudo apt-get install build-essential
تو خود سی دی ابونتو هم این بسته هست

چون حدود چند ساعت پیش dvd اوبونتو دستم رسید اونو upgrade کردم درست شد.
ولی حالا یه مشکل دیگه دارم بیبنید:

شکر خدا و با کمک شما حل شد
عجب سوتی داده بودم آآآ
اون sudo رو یادم رفته بود .
فقط برای دوستان تکمیل شده اش رو بگویم:
اول که از نرم افزار scanmodem استفاده می کنید تا بتونید مودم رو تشخیص بدید.(بعد از اجرای اون یه پوشه درست میشه که تو اون یه سری فایل داره که میگه مودم شما چه نوعی است حتی میتونید توی همون پوشه داخل پوشه DOC بشوید و فایل SoftModem رو بخونید حتی نوشته از کجا اونو دانلود کرده و چه طوری اونو نصب کنید)
بعد اگه مشکلی که من باهاش برخوردم یعنی هماهنگ نبودن ورژن gcc با کرنل اون حتما برید dvd اوبونتو رو تهیه کنید و سیستم رو upgarade کنید(تا dvd رو بزارید خودش پیغام upgrade رو میده)
بعد به راحتی نصب کنید
فقط من چه طوری می تونم اطمینان پیدا کنم که مودم درست نصب شده؟

به طور خودکار, نصب کننده ی مودم فایل /etc/wvdial.conf را تنظیم می کند.
دستور زیر را وارد کنید:
wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf
اگه مودم نصب شده باشه, نوشته ای مثل "Found a modem on /dev/ttySL0" می آد.
در ضمن مودم توی System > Preferences > Hardware drivers هم اضافه می شه.
